Finding Healing and Peace After Trauma

Trauma leaves scars that can’t be seen ones that linger long after the moment is gone. It changes you, tests you, and sometimes leaves you questioning if you’ll ever be the same again. I know that burns all too well. When my world suddenly took a drastic turn, when I lost everything, I had worked for and was condemned by the world, I felt shattered. The shame, the pain, the fear all seemed too much to bear.

But this is what I’ve learned: **healing is possible, and peace is within reach. ** It doesn’t happen overnight, and it doesn’t take away what has been done, but with time, with faith, and with intentional steps, you can rebuild from the inside out.

### **How to Find Healing and Peace After Trauma: **

  1. Allow Yourself to Feel Without Shame

Ruminating on the pain doesn’t make it go away. **Give yourself permission to grieve, to cry, to feel. ** Healing begins when you stop denying and start confronting.

#### **2. Speak Truth Over Yourself**

Trauma has a way of convincing you of lies*I am broken. I am unworthy. I will never be okay. * But **God says otherwise. ** You are loved, redeemed, and still have a purpose.

#### **3. Find Safe Places to Heal**

Talk to someone, a counselor, a mentor, or a trusted friend. **Healing happens in the community, not isolation. **

  1. Lean Into Faith

Even when I felt abandoned, **God was still there. ** His peace is beyond understanding, and His grace covers even the deepest wounds.

  1. Take It One Day at a Time

Healing is not a linear path. There are going to be some harder days than others. **Be gentle with yourself and persist. **

No matter what you’ve been through, **you are not your trauma. ** **Peace is within reach, and healing is yours to claim.** Hold on—your day will come again.
